BULANDSHAHR: In a scene that blurs the line between a domestic dispute and a psychological thriller, a local man has opted to "surrender" his marriage rather than become the next victim of a grisly headline.

Rajkumar, a resident of Bulandshahr, made the extraordinary decision to let his wife leave with her lover this week after discovering what he believed was a blueprint for his own murder hidden in her social media history.

The tension reached a breaking point when Rajkumar intercepted his wife’s phone during a suspicious conversation. Expecting to find evidence of an affair, he instead found something far more sinister: images of a blue plastic drum and bags of cement, accompanied by news clippings of the infamous March 2025 "Muskan Case."

For those in Uttar Pradesh, the reference is unmistakable. Last year, a woman named Muskan and her paramour shocked the nation by murdering her husband, dismembering his body into 15 pieces, and sealing the remains inside a cement-filled drum to mask the scent of decay.

"She asked for evidence of her affair," Rajkumar told local authorities. "I found evidence of a plot. I saw the blue drum, the cement, and my own face. I knew then I was living with a death sentence."

The couple’s history has been fraught with conflict since July last year, when the woman allegedly abandoned her six-month-old infant under the guise of visiting her parents. Rajkumar claims she was actually cohabitating with her lover during that period.

When confronted during a police-led mediation session, the woman remained defiant, reportedly stating her sole desire was to be with her lover.

Faced with the terrifying prospect of meeting the same fate as the victim in the Muskan case, Rajkumar requested a face-to-face meeting with the "third man." In a move that has sparked intense debate over domestic safety and the influence of viral crimes, Rajkumar officially stepped aside, allowing his wife to depart with her lover to avoid further escalation.
