NEW DELHI: Reports say Saudi Arabia and the UAE are reportedly joining Israel and the US in the war against Iran. Saudi Arabia has given permission to the US military to use King Fahd Air Base for attacks against Iran. Saudi Arabia has previously said it will not allow its military bases to be used for attacks against Iran. Meantime, the UAE has closed an Iranian-owned hospital and club. The report also says that footage has emerged of missiles being fired at Iran from Bahrain. However, the US has not confirmed that it has sought support from Gulf countries.

The US allies in the Persian Gulf are preparing to directly participate in the war as repeated attacks have devastated the country's economy and increased Iranian influence in the Strait of Hormuz. The US and Israel continue to attack military bases in Iran. A turbine engine manufacturing facility in Qom province was destroyed yesterday. There have been attempts to attack Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain.

An Indian was injured in Abu Dhabi, UAE, after being hit by debris from a ballistic missile fired by an air defense system. Iran also claimed to have shot down a US surveillance plane at Prince Sultan Airbase in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Russia said that the missile attack near Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant was serious and shared its concerns with the US. The plant is being operated with Russian cooperation.
