THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan demanded that Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan clarify the deal he was involved in with RSS in Paravur in 2006. The Chief Minister also shared an old photo of Satheesan bowing down in front of RSS demigod Golwalkar's photo and lighting a lamp at an RSS event. The Chief Minister’s scathing attack on the opposition leader came through a Facebook post.
The event the Chief Minister alluded to took place at Paravur Manakkapady School in February 2006, just before the assembly elections.
The Hindu Aikya Vedi state president revealed in 2022 that VD Satheesan had sought RSS support in the 2001 and 2006 assembly elections. The opposition leader has not yet given a clear answer on this issue either.
The Chief Minister demanded that the opposition leader clarify what the deal in Paravur was in 2006.
VD Satheesan hit back through a Facebook post, calling Pinarayi Vijayan a first-rate RSS agent.
“It was Pinarayi Vijayan, not VD Satheesan, who contested in the assembly with the support of the RSS in 1977. At that time, RSS leader KG Marar was the joint CPM-RSS candidate in Uduma. Pinarayi held talks with RSS leaders at Mascot Hotel under the mediation of Shri M. The Kodakara money laundering case involving BJP state chief was sabotaged. The ADGP was sent as a messenger to the RSS leaders. BJP, meanwhile, sabotaged the ED investigation in Karuvannur and the SFIO investigation against CM’s daughter's company." said Satheesan.
