NEW DELHI: The Center has clarified that there will be no lockdown in the country. Do not believe fake stories, the Center has clarified that there is no situation for a lockdown and the rumors are totally baseless. The explanation from the Central Government comes amidst widespread propaganda that a lockdown is being implemented again in the country.

There is widespread speculation among the people that there will be an energy lockdown in the country. When the Prime Minister made a statement related to the West Asian war in both the houses, the Prime Minister had referred to preparedness and asked the authorities of the states and the Centre to stand united and overcome this crisis, just like during the lockdown. He had also clarified that there is a possibility of large-scale consequences, especially if the war lasts for a long time. Many interpreted this statement as a move towards a lockdown.

Rejecting all this, the Union Petroleum Minister and others have now given an explanation in this regard. The central government has no plans to impose a lockdown in the country. There is a situation where the central government is checking and ensuring the availability of petrol, diesel and LPG. People should not panic and buy goods or believe other rumours. The central government has clarified that there is no such situation at present.
