
BENGALURU: Photographers involved in a pre-wedding shoot were roughed up by a gang in the premises of a temple in Hassan district of Karnataka. The gang manhandled the crew and even damaged their costly camera equipment. The incident took place at the Bettada Bhairaveshwara temple in Hassan. According to reports, the gang found offence in the wedding crew entering the temple premises wearing shoes, which led to an altercation.
The police arrested seven people in connection with the incident. The arrested have been identified as Aashi, Prashanth, Raksha, Aravind, Uchit, Prajwal and Nishant.
The camera crew was stationed at the scenic temple grounds for a photoshoot. During the altercation, the gang even threatened not to allow photography inside the temple. The verbal argument soon escalated into a physical attack. The photographers, Navi and Nandan, were admitted to a nearby taluk hospital. The attackers also broke one of their cameras. The police registered a case against the accused and started an investigation.
