ALAPPUZHA: G Sudhakaran got angry with Congress leaders during his tour in the constituency. Sudhakaran publicly lashed out at Congress leaders and the jeep driver in Thottappally, saying that there were no special facilities, including a place to keep his feet, in the jeep for the tour. The Congress leaders initially proposed that he travel from the back of the jeep. However, when he pointed that there were no facilities for standing, they asked him to travel sitting in the front. That's when Sudhakaran got angry with the leaders and the jeep driver, saying there were no facilities for him to keep his feet.
Although the leaders and workers of Ambalapuzha constituency are very angry with Sudhakaran's behavior, none of them are responding. Reports say that the leaders of the constituency and district have already informed the top leaders of the party about their disagreement to Sudhakaran's manners. Not only in Thottappally, Sudhakaran is often very angry during his tours in other places. Many in the UDF were against supporting Sudhakaran. The Congress leadership is concerned that the opposition may intensify further if his behavior turns explosive as well.
Sudhakaran's statement that many including the BJP-RSS workers will vote for him had upset the UDF. Sudhakaran's public statement came at a time when the UDF was intensifying its deal allegations against the CPM. The Congress is afraid that this will lead to leakage of votes.
