Rajesh returns to Thiruvananthapuram…
After six months of treatment, my dear friend Rajesh is back in his hometown. He will continue treatment for a few more days at KIMS Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, after which the plan is to coordinate further care from home. Over the past six months, all possible efforts were made at CMC Vellore Hospital through highly complex treatment procedures to bring him back to life. Under the leadership of the PMR department there, we have begun to see positive changes, though gradual, which has given us great hope. The decision now is to continue these treatments here in his hometown.
Based on the doctors’ assessment that the greenery of his homeland, the comfort of home, and the presence of friends and loved ones beyond the four walls of the hospital in Vellore would give him more energy and better results, Rajesh has now been brought to Thiruvananthapuram.
We bow our heads in gratitude to the kind-hearted people who visited Rajesh at the hospital and spent time with him. We are deeply indebted to Shri Suresh Gopi. A special, unending gratitude to Suresh Gopi, who, despite his busy schedule, spent an entire day with Rajesh and coordinated treatment matters with the panel of doctors. We also extend heartfelt thanks to R Sreekandan Nair, Krishnamoorthy S R, and others. Some of his classmates and former colleagues visited him at the hospital and helped him relive old memories. From the time we reached there until now, there have been some god-like individuals who stood by us. We have no words to express our gratitude to those generous souls who knowingly supported us financially, both in small and big ways, for the treatment expenses.
To everyone who has stood with us, supported us, and continues to check on Rajesh’s condition-- we need you to continue being with us on this journey. Please do whatever you can to support him and those around him so that they do not falter.
He will return… he must return. When that will happen is in God’s hands. Keep the prayers going… the light of hope is not far away. Prathap Jayalakshmy
