ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani government has once again increased fuel prices to mitigate the national energy crisis sparked by the escalating Middle East conflict. This latest adjustment marks the second price hike within a single month. Petrol prices have surged by Rs 137.24, bringing the new rate to Rs 458.40 per liter. High-speed diesel saw an even steeper climb, increasing by Rs 184.49 to reach a record Rs 520.35 per liter. Additionally, the price of kerosene oil has been raised by Rs 34.08, bringing it to a total of Rs 457.80 per liter. These unprecedented hikes reflect the severe pressure on the country's economy as global supply chains remain disrupted by regional instability.
