BEML employee and two others from Kozhikode killed in Chamarajanagar crash

GUNDALPET: A devastating collision between a car and a tipper lorry on National Highway 766 has claimed the lives of three Malayalis. The deceased have been identified as Aisha Noori (41), Noah (19), and Mohammed Asir (37), all natives of Kozhikode and Beypore.

The accident occurred around noon yesterday as the family was travelling from their hometown to Mysore. Mohammed Asir, an employee at BEML in Bengaluru, was travelling with his sister and her family at the time of the crash.

According to preliminary police reports, the collision occurred when a tipper lorry travelling from Gundlupet toward Kerala rammed into the family’s car. Aisha Noori and Noah died instantly at the scene, while Mohammed Asir was rescued from the wreckage and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. A nine-year-old boy named Nihal sustained serious injuries in the crash and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Mysore.

The bodies of the deceased have been moved to the hospital for postmortem examinations. Local police have confirmed that a formal investigation into the circumstances of the accident is currently underway.
