THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vanchiyoor BAR Association expressed their regret for the protest of advocates in front of the First Class Magistrate’s office. The police have registered a non-bailable case after magistrate Deepa Mohan filed a petition and the BAR Association’s expression of grievance soon followed.

The police have registered a non bailable case against 12 advocates including Bar Association district president K.P. Jayachandran and secretary Pachalloor Jayaprakash.

Deepa Mohan, the magistrate who was the subject of protest, reported to the CJM. CJM’s report was then forwarded for HC’s consideration.

The protest was staged after the magistrate revoked the bail of an accused in an accident case of 2015.
