MANGALORE: The Karnataka police detained CPI leader Binoy Viswam during anti-CAA protests in the city. Binoy and seven others were detained as they were about to violate curfew and taken part in the protests.
The CPI had earlier said that they will violate the curfew. Binoy Viswam reached Mangalore on Friday via train. As the traffic between Kerala and Mangalore was stalled completely, the party couldn’t get their activists to Mangalore. So Binoy and the party activists from Mangalore violated the curfew holding the pictures of Gandhi and Ambedkar.
