IDUKKI: When Minister M M Mani was invited for a function in Idukki, the activists of Kudumbashree wanted to receive their own MLA in a different way. They decided to receive him by singing a parody song praising the minister at the venue. But what happened at the inauguration of the Vandanmedu 33KV sub-station was another. When the minister was at the dais, four activists started singing the song praising the minister. The song chosen for the parody was ‘Vythyasthanam Oru Barbaram Balane’, song from the film Katha Parayumbol which had Mammootty and Sreenivasan in lead roles. The parody song began like this ‘Vishwasthanaam Oru Vaidythuthi Manthriye…Sathyathil Nammal Thiricharinjallo…’

The minister was seen enjoying the song shaking his head when it started. However unexpectedly one of the four singers made a mistake while singing. All were shocked when they sang the real song ‘Vythyasthanam Oru Barbaram Balane’. They somehow completed the song and before leaving apologised for their mistake. The scene was calmed down after Asan forgave them and asked them to leave in sign language.
