THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Contrary to earlier reports, the authorities stated that only those passengers showing symptoms of COVID-19 will be shifted from the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to special observation centres. A decision regarding this was taken under the leadership of the District Collector at a meeting held at the airport. The clarification was made hours after it was announced that all the passengers coming from abroad on Wednesday and Thursday will be shifted to special centres.

Those who are not experiencing any symptoms will be kept under observation at their respective homes. KSRTC buses will be arranged for them. Around 1200 people will reach the Thiruvananthapuram airport from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah on Wednesday and Thursday. Around 50 KSRTC buses will operate from the airport on these two days. Meanwhile, those experiencing symptoms will be shifted to the hospitals suggested by the DMO.
