KASARGOD: As nearly 2500 fresh faces are under observation in Kasargod, concerns are high on whether they will be tested positive for COVID-19. So, the healthcare workers were urged to remain alert. The test results of 179 people are to be obtained from the Alappuzha Virology Institute. Samples of 81 more people were sent yesterday. 39 people were tested positive for the virus in Kasargod. One was discharged from the hospital as his test results were negative.

The test results of Gulf returnees especially from Dubai are turning positive. Doctors see the possibility of more test results turning positive as symptoms were seen on those who came in contact with the people diagnosed with the disease. Taking this into account, the health department is working more cautiously.
