THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vehicles will be allowed on road in an ‘odd-even’ system from April 20, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday said.

“Vehicles of odd and even registration numbers will be allowed on roads on alternate days. However, concession will be given to vehicles driven by women,” CM said.

Also vehicles parked elsewhere will be allowed to start once in a week to avoid mechanical problems. Used car showrooms, private buses, vehicle sellers, etc, can make use of this option, he added.

However, these relaxations in lockdown will not be applicable for Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode and Malappuram districts where strict restrictions will continue even after April 20, CM added.
