COVID-19: Kerala reports 12 new cases on Tuesday; no recoveries

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday informed that 12 more persons have tested positive for coronavirus in Kerala. Among the newly infected persons, 5 are from Kannur, 3 are from Malappuram and 1 each are from Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Thrissur and Palakkad districts. Meanwhile, no patients tested negative for the virus on Tuesday.

While 4 out of 12 newly infected persons had returned from abroad, the others had returned from other states, he added. As many as 642 persons have tested positive for the virus in the state out of which 142 persons are undergoing treatment.
