70-year-old woman under home quarantine dies in Erumeli

ERUMELI: A 70-year-old woman who was under home quarantine for COVID-19 died here Wednesday. She has been identified as Fathima of Mavungal in Koratty. She was under home quarantine after her daughter arrived from Bengaluru. None showed symptoms of the virus.

The Department of Health had sent an ambulance but only the driver arrived. The body was not allowed to take in the ambulance. Following that, more health workers came from Erumeli PHC, and the body was taken in the ambulance wearing a PPE kit. The post-mortem will be conducted at the Kottayam General Hospital.
