BENGALURU: One of the cooks of Sports Authority of India (SAI) died after testing positive of coronavirus. The cook died of a cardiac arrest on Monday and it was only on Tuesday his samples tested positive for the virus. The cook who reached here three days back came in contact with the employees. With this, many including Malayali athletes have been placed under isolation. They came in contact with the third tier of the infected person.
Meantime, 149 more people have contracted the disease in Karnataka. Of that, 90 came from Mumbai and two from Kerala. Forty people have died of COVID in the state. 1395 people have been infected. Of that, 246 patients are in Bengaluru. Public transportation started from yesterday in areas other than red zone.
