THRISSUR: In a circular issued by the Thrissur Archdiocese, it is said that the corpses of devotees who died due to COVID-19 can be cremated if there is no space in a cemetery or the church premises. This is the first time a Christian diocese gave permission to cremate bodies of the deceased.

The circular is published on the Ollur Church's Facebook page. The circular also says that the remains after cremation should be brought to a cemetery. The circular has been forwarded to all churches.
