THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: IT secretary M Sivasankar is likely to be removed in connection with the gold smuggling at the airport. The chief minister will seek a clarification on the appointment of Swapna Suresh. Pressure is mounting on the government to take action against the IT secretary.

Swapna was working as an operational manager in KSIT. Before reaching here, she had served as the executive secretary of the UAE Consulate. She has fled after knowing that there is a probe against her.

A member of the residence association of the flat where Swapna was staying had revealed that IT secretary Sivasankar was a regular visitor to the flat. He said the IT secretary used to come in the state car.
