THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The situation in Thiruvananthapuram is similar to the worst-hit cities like Chennai and Mumbai, CM Pinarayi Vijayan said. Out of 129 COVID-19 positive cases confirmed in the state capital, 105 was through contact.
The first case of COVID-19 was reported in the state on March 11. Until Thursday, there are 481 reported COVID-19 cases in the district. Among this, 215 had returned from abroad and other states. The remaining 266 cases are through contact, which is extremely alarming. The lockdown imposed in Thiruvananthapuram has been extended for another week considering this.
