THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala recorded its highest single-day COVID-19 recovery on Saturday after 1049 patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours. The increase in the number of recoveries has evoked a slight relief in the state which has been witnessing a surge in positive cases for the past few weeks. Meanwhile, the state also recorded 1103 positive cases on Saturday.
Though the state has witnessed an increase in the number of recoveries in the last few days, authorities have maintained that people should remain on high alert as the number of cases through local transmission have increased in the last week. As of now, a total of 8813 people have recovered from the virus in the state. At present, 9420 persons are undergoing treatment for COVID-19 in the state.
