THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 70 persons tested positive for coronavirus in Thiruvananthapuram district on Thursday. Meanwhile, there is a sigh of relief for the state capital as 220 COVID patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced that as many as 2500 beds have been arranged in various COVID First-Line Treatment Centres (CFLTC) in the district. He further added that the General Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram will be turned into a COVID treatment centre. Those people undergoing treatment at the general hospital will be shifted to either Medical College hospital or other government hospitals in the district, he added.
