Person who collapsed and died in Ernakulam test positive for COVID-19, source unidentified

KOCHI: A person who collapsed and died in Ernakulam was confirmed with COVID-19. KA Basheer (62), a native of Fort Kochi, has been identified as the deceased. Basheer swab test after death turned positive for the viral disease. His source of infection is unknown. He collapsed and died in his house in Fort Kochi in the later hours of Friday. According to his relatives, Basheer didn't go out of the house for 13 days as the area is a containment zone.

A person who died in Thrissur two days back tested positive for COVID-19. Irinjalakkuda native Chandran, who is a cancer patient, was confirmed with the virus on testing his swab samples after death.

A Palakkad native who died while under treatment for cancer also tested positive for COVID-19. The deceased has been identified as Sindhu (34), a native of Vaniyamkulam.
