Daily count of COVID-19 cases could rise to 20,000 with increase in death toll, warns health minister Shailaja

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister KK Shailaja has said that the COVID situation could worsen in the state. In the next month, daily case count could increase to 10,000 and 20,000, she warned.

As the cases increase, the death toll is likely to rise which should be seen as a matter of concern. The health department and the government is equipped to face a spike in COVID cases, she added.

According to experts, the COVID transmission in the state will get stronger by next month.
