KOCHI: Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) on Saturday demanded Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the public to intervene to ensure justice to the victim in the actress assault case. According to the organisation, it was shocking to see the prosecution approaching the court to stop the proceedings and shift the trial to another court fearing that the victim will not get fair trial and justice. The prosecutor itself suspects that the court is biased. It is a tragedy that there is still uncertainty over the victim's wait for justice even after three years. It is not the responsibility of the government alone to end this miserable wait for justice. It should be the responsibility of all those who care for the future of girls and women of the country, WCC added.
