Authorities in Thiruvananthapuram medical college were severely criticized by the general society for their lackadaisical attitude while dealing with the covid 19 patients. But no visible change was noticed in the attitude of the authorities. Covid 19 patients are transferred to their wards, without taking any precautionary measure, through the corridor in general wards where patients including senior citizens are treated for various kinds of diseases. Even social distance is not maintained. Kaumudy TV’s programme ‘Nerkannu’ reveals the pathetic condition in Thiruvananthapuram medical college in the midst of the pandemic.

Even union health minister Harsh Vardhan has pointed out lapses in Kerala’s covid 19 prevention programme. He said that Kerala had effectively prevented the pandemic in the first phase and now it is paying a heavy price for its lapses. “The state is facing a grave danger due to the soaring cases of the pandemic,” he said.
