Probe in CAG report; CPM alleges rights violation, notice to be issued against ED

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM will issue a rights violation notice against the Enforcement Directorate. The notice will be issued by M Swaraj MLA. The notice alleged that investigating references of CAG before tabling in the assembly is violation of rights.

The notice for rights violation against the ED for seeking files in Life Mission project is under the consideration of assembly’s ethics committee. The committee has sought an explanation on leaking to the media the reply of the enforcement. It is in between this the new notice has been issued.

Meantime, the assessment of the government and the CPM is that the inquiry into the report, which has not yet reached the Assembly, is not as the file demands. The CPM leaders said the action of the enforcement is unusual.
