NEW DELHI: The CPM central leadership rejected the statement of Finance Minister Dr Thomas Isaac in the KSFE raid controversy. The central leadership is of the stand that it was not right for senior leaders to react emotionally in a way that put the party and the government in crisis. The central leadership warned state leaders to be vigilant when making statements.
No disciplinary action will be taken against leaders as the polls will be held soon. The central leadership has directed the government to take an amicable decision after discussing the issues related to vigilance raid. CPM secretariat member Ananthalavattom Anandan and Finance Minister Thomas Isaac had harshly criticised the vigilance act.
A section of leaders alleged that Isaac terming as ‘insane’ and the words of Ananthalavattom Anandan that it is the chief minister and the home department who should respond to the issue, stoked a controversy. The party and the Left Front are of the view that there should be no more public discussion on the KSFE raid.
