THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister KT Jaleel has said that the real thief is still on board and only his aide has been caught. Jaleel's Facebook post is related to the resignation of Youth League National General Secretary CK Subair in the Kathua fund controversy.
Jaleel scoffed that the Youth League National General Secretary was clean bowled in the deadly pace bowling of Yusuf Padanilam.
Only the aide has been caught. The real thief is still on the ship. The problem does not end with a resignation. He also says that they are answerable to the public about the whole fund scam, the minister said.
The resignation comes after a police case was registered against CK Subair and Youth League state general secretary PK Firoz. Yusuf Padanilam, a Youth League rebel, has lodged a complaint with the police against PK Firoz in connection with the Katwa fund scam. It is alleged that around Rs 1 crore collected to help the families of the victims of the Kathua and Unnao cases was used for personal purposes without being handed over to the victims. Yusuf Padanilam had alleged that the Youth League leaders in Kerala also received their share from this fund. However, the Youth League explained that only Rs 39 lakh was collected and it was paid to the families of the victims.
