COVID-19: Kerala reports 4034 new cases on Tuesday; 3674  cases through contact, 14 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 4034 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 3674 persons developed the disease through contact including 258 cases without an identified source of infection. 81 persons who came from outside the state tested positive for the virus. 21 health workers contracted the disease on Tuesday.

4823 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 54,665 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 14 deaths due to the virus on Tuesday with the toll rising to 4119.

In the last 24 hours, 69,604 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate stands at 5.80.

With the addition of 4 new regions and the removal of 4, there are 372 hotspots in the state.
