Finance minister Thomas Issac has said that certain Congress leaders think that they could buy votes from minority sections in the state, by blackmailing them. It is out of this confidence that they are making baseless statements that if vote in not given to UDF, then they will join BJP together. Issac mocked the UDF leaders saying that their statement comes in the wake of their supreme leader’s tearful appeal to the people of the state that if UDF is not voted to power, with a one-third majority, then those who won under the hand symbol will be bought by BJP to create the government.
The minister also added that revolutionary change is happening in the general behaviour of the Malappuram district and the new generation is more tilted towards the left front. The new generation doesn’t consider the old-time threats like—you won’t get heaven if you don’t vote the ladder symbol. Thomas Issac also added that it is out of fear of losing the Malappuram district that Congressmen are saying that they will join BJP if not won. The minister has aired his opinion through his Facebook post.
