CPM’s expulsion drama in Piravom, Jose faction candidate Sindhumol Jacob was expelled for anti-party activities

KOTTAYAM: An expulsion drama of the CPM in Piravom. Sindhumol Jacob, a candidate of the Kerala Congress Jose faction and CPM member has been expelled from the party. She was expelled citing anti-party activities. CPM Uzhavoor local committee said the party was not informed about her candidature. However, she said that her candidature was with the knowledge of the CPM leadership. Sindhumol, a CPM member and Uzahavoor block panchayat vice president, was made candidate after cutting the name of Jils Periyapuram of Kerala Congress earlier considered in Piravam. Jils had left the party in protest against the act.

Meantime, Sindhumol Jacob's response was that she did not care about the hostility witnessed in Piravom over the selection of candidates. Sindhumol said she would resign CPM membership and join Kerala Congress and then contest in two leaves symbol. She also said the issues will be solved and also asserted that Jils Periyapuram is with the party. She said her candidature in Piravom was unexpected and was not a payment seat.
