THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Monday said that the BJP did not have any right to seek votes in the name of Sabarimala. He also asked whether the ruling party in the Centre was able to bring a law on the Sabarimala issue.

According to Tharoor, there is a pro-UDF wave in the state. "The situation in the state is different from what is shown in the surveys. In the last ten days, there has been a big change here," he said.

"People should exercise their right to vote. Keralites are intelligent. Who is going to benefit if the votes are wasted and given to the BJP? BJP's policy is to seek votes by spreading communalism. They cannot do anything for the development of Kerala," he added.
