Schools to remain closed in next year also, let next govt take a final decision on the matter, says education dept

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Reports suggests that schools will remain closed in the next academic year in the wake of covid 19’s second wave. The education department has said that let the new government take a final decision on the matter.

Like last year, only online classes will be carried out in the next academic year also. Meanwhile, 4.41 crores of books are being printed now for the next academic year. The books for classes from 1st to 10th standard is being printed in the government press in Kakanad. The books are being printed in three volumes. The distribution of books printed in the first volume has been started. Authorities have informed that by next week the printing of the second edition will be completed.
