Must get details of postal votes; five UDF candidates approach poll panel with complaints

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Five UDF candidates have filed complaints to the election commission demanding to release the details of the postal votes. The candidates have demanded to release details of the number of applicants for postal votes, and how many ballots were printed for postal votes. The complaints before the poll panel were filed by P C Vishnunath, Bindu Krishna, Abdurahiman Randathani, Parakkal Abdullah and BRM Shaffer.

All five of them has asked to transfer the details of postal votes in their constituencies. They have also sought the serial numbers of the postal votes. The complainants have alleged that against the demand of three lakh portal votes, 10 lakh ballots were printed.
