THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala on Tuesday alleged that both CPM and the BJP were involved in vote trading in 69 constituencies. Chennithala's statement came in response to the CM's allegation that widespread vote trading had taken place between Congress and the BJP during the assembly polls.

According to Chennithala, the CM took an anticipatory bail to hide the truth by making such a statement. He also said that the CM's statement was meant to fool people. "If you look at the results, you can see that it was the UDF candidates that prevented the progress of BJP in Nemom, Palakkad and Manjeswaram constituencies. It was Congress that played a crucial part to ensure that BJP did not win the lone seat that they won in the state at Nemom in 2016," he said.
