Transfer of authentic information is important in the fight against Covid, media persons should be included in the vaccination priority list, says V Muraleedharan

Union minister of state V Muraleedharan has said that media persons should be included in the vaccination priority list. “Transfer of authentic information is necessary in the fight against Covid 19. Therefore the functioning of the media is important. The fight against this pandemic is similar to a war. Media persons are one such group who are working in the war front, even sacrificing their own lives. They should be given the defensive shield,” the minister said in a facebook post.

“I am appealing to the state government not to commit any lapse on this issue,” he added. He wrote the facebook post expressing condolence over the demise of senior chief reporter in Mathrubhumi Vipin Chand.
