THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Life Mission CEO UV Jose, who is retiring from the service, said that the Life Mission controversy has shaken his official life. Taking it to Facebook, Jose wrote that he is stepping down as the CEO with great pain. He also stated that evidence-collection and media manipulation have caused him psychological tension.

'When my term as Collector came to an end, I was called to Thiruvananthapuram in November 2018. I was appointed as the Joint Land Revenue Commissioner and the CEO of LIFE Mission. My focus and interest were on LIFE Mission. In one year, LIFE Mission grew beyond expectations as one of the major achievements of the government. The completion of two lakh houses was the most notable event.

Since then, several unfortunate incidents that shook my official and personal life have happened. Today, the court is considering the signing of the MoU with the Red Crescent and some of the dealings that took place under the guise of it. As CEO of LIFE Mission, the evidence collection of the investigative agencies and the media attacks have caused unprecedented psychological trauma. Since I haven't done anything wrong, I am now moving forward by regaining the mental strength to face the unexpected challenge,' Jose wrote.
