ALAPPUZHA: CPM Acting Secretary A Vijayaraghavan has lashed out at the Muslim League and PK Kunhalikutty over the minority scholarship controversy. Accusing Kunhalikutty of trying to divide the society, Vijayaraghavan said that the society will reject such fake campaigns.

"It was the High Court that directed to make changes in the minority scholarship ratio. Following this, an all-party meeting was convened and it was decided to grant minority scholarship on the basis of population. All political parties should try to resolve the issue without creating disputes between the people, " Vijayaraghavan said.

"No one should react in a way that causes division in the society. The Muslim League seems to have taken a different opinion within UDF. They are trying to divert the issue in another way," he said.
