'Haven't asked the girl's father to withdraw the complaint'; Saseendran gives explanation to CM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister AK Saseendran has given an explanation to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan regarding the controversy that he had intervened to settle a sexual harassment case. Saseendran informed the CM that he had not demanded the girl's father to withdraw the complaint. The minister explained that the phone call was made as it was a matter that involved party members. Saseendran gave the same explanation to the NCP as well.

Saseendran called the girl's father and asked him to settle the harassment complaint against NCP state executive member Padmakaran. The incident came to light after an audio clip of the minister's conversation with the girl's father surfaced. In the audio clip, the minister can be heard telling the girl's father to end the case in a good manner
