MALAPPURAM: P M A Salam, state general secretary of the Muslim League, came forward criticising Mueen Ali Thangal for his open criticism against P K Kunhalikutty. He said the party on that day itself assessed that his open criticism was wrong and that further action would be taken after talks with the Panakkad family.
Mueen AIi was only entrusted with resolving the crisis in Chandrika. However, as expected could not end the crisis. There was no need for such a person to interfere in other matters without asking the party, he said while talking to the media in Kozhikode.
He said no black money is kept in Chandrika and Kunhalikutty had not taken the money of Chandrika. Salam said no decision was taken to change the finance director of the newspaper in this regard. During Covid time, many companies in the state faced financial crisis. The same thing happened in Chandrika also. Efforts are being taken to resolve the crisis, he said.
