Kerala records 19,451 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, TPR at 13.97; 105 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 19,451 COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Among these, 18,410 persons developed the disease through contact, including 853 cases without an identified source of infection. 93 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 95 health workers contracted the disease on Saturday.

19,104 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,80,240 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 105 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 18,499.

Malappuram 3038, Thrissur 2475, Kozhikode 2440, Ernakulam 2243, Palakkad 1836, Kollam 1234, Alappuzha 1150, Kannur 1009, Thiruvananthapuram 945, Kottayam 900, Wayanad 603, Pathanamthitta 584, Kasargod 520, Idukki 474.

1,39,223 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 13.97.
