KABUL: A special air force plane has arrived in Kabul to evacuate more than 200 Indians, including embassy staff and their families, stranded in Afghanistan. Passenger planes are banned in Afghanistan but planes are allowed for emergency evacuations. This was done with the help of US troops stationed at the airport.

The IAF plane landed in Kabul via Iran via Pakistan's airspace. Earlier, international media reported that five people were killed in a shooting at the airport during the departure of the last passenger plane.
