No new restrictions in the state, testing to be intensified, Sunday lockdown to continue

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: No further restrictions will be imposed in the state in the wake of the spread of Covid. The Covid review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister decided to strictly enforce the existing restrictions. The complete lockdown on Sundays will continue. Shops will be allowed to operate from 7 am to 9 pm. There will not be any change in the WIPR criteria.

Meanwhile, the state recorded 24,296 new Covid cases on Tuesday. The test positivity rate in the state has crossed 18. The number of patients is expected to increase in the coming days. Currently, Kerala has the highest number of patients in the country.
