THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains for three days from Saturday. Isolated showers in most districts of the state are likely to be between 64.5 mm and 204.4 mm.
Orange alert has been sounded for these three days in several districts. The orange alert was issued in Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram and Wayanad districts on Saturday, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki and Wayanad districts on Sunday and Idukki, Thrissur and Wayanad districts on Monday. Wayanad district will receive continuous rains for the next three days, the Met office said.
Yellow alert has been declared in various districts for three days from tomorrow. The yellow alert has been sounded in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram and Wayanad on Saturday. The yellow alert was issued on Sunday in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts and on Monday in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts.
