Woman found dead in husband’s house in Kannur, audio about harassment surfaces

KANNUR: In a suspected case of suicide, a 26-year-old woman was found dead at her husband’s house. The dead has been identified as Suneesha of Payyannur Korom, and she allegedly ended her life after being harassed. She was found hanging in the bathroom on Sunday evening. Her relatives came forward saying that her husband Vijeesh harassed her severely.

An audio of Suneesha talking about the harassment she faced at her husband’s house, has surfaced. She is heard telling her brother that if they don’t take her home, they will not be able to see her again.

Suneesha had lodged a complaint with the Payyannur police a week ago for domestic violence. However, the police did not register a case. Without taking a case, the police summoned the two families and settled the issue. Suneesha got married to Vijeesh one and a half years ago and it was a love marriage.
