Monsoon to taper out in Kerala in two weeks

monsoon-

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It has been reported that this year's monsoon will leave the state within two weeks. It is unlikely that the rainfall will get intense in the coming weeks. Although the rainfall received was officially less during the monsoon, the state got the required rainfall just before the monsoon. The state received 1604.1 mm of rainfall till yesterday.

The state had received heavy summer rains in the wake of two low pressure areas in April and May. Today, another low pressure area is possible in the Bay of Bengal. It is estimated that this will not directly affect Kerala.
