Native of Malappuram dies of black fungus in state

MALAPPURAM: One more person died of black fungus in the state. He has been identified as Ahmed Kutty, a native of Valanchery in Malappuram. He died while undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College.

He had earlier contracted Covid and was undergoing treatment for post Covid complications at Manjeri Medical College Hospital. He contracted black fungus while undergoing treatment and his condition deteriorated. Soon after that, he was shifted to Kozhikode Medical College. He died Tuesday evening at 6.15 pm.
