THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior leader Ramesh Chennithala has resigned the chairman post of Jai Hind TV. Apart from this, he has also resigned the chairman posts of Rajiv Gandhi Institute coming under the KPCC and from K Karunakaran Foundation. He resigned from the posts on May 24. Chennithala said the KPCC chief should hold these posts. As previous chief Mullappally Ramachandran refused to take up these posts, Chennithala continued in office. Chennithala said that he is resigning from these posts now as the new chief has taken over. However, the KPCC leadership said they have not accepted his resignation.
Meantime, the leadership has now decided to audit all the firms coming under the KPCC by a private agency. The KPCC leadership has directed to audit all accounts related to the firms. It was earlier found that Jai Hind TV, Veekshanam daily, Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Priyadarshini Publications and many have liability worth crores.
